16 Blessed Days | Day 8 | Hajj 2026: The Journey Back to Jamarat – Day 2

Hajj 2026 Day 8 journey to Jamarat on the second day of Ramy in Mina

Day 8 of my 16 Blessed Days Hajj 2026 journey brought another physically demanding but deeply meaningful chapter of my pilgrimage. After everything I had experienced the previous day, I knew that the journey was far from over.

The rituals, the walking, the heat, and the crowds had already tested me physically. But Hajj is also a journey of patience, faith, and complete reliance upon Allah.

A New Morning After an Exhausting Day

The previous day had been one of the hardest days of my Hajj journey. I had completed Tawaf al-Ifadah, Sa’i, Hady, and shaved my head, leaving me completely exhausted.

After spending the night at my hotel in Aziziyah, I woke up knowing that another long day was ahead.

After Fajr Salah, I began making my way back toward Mina. I managed to find a bus that took me close to the Jamarat area, but the journey did not end there. From the bus stop, I still had a long walk ahead before I could reach my tent in the Mina camp.

Thankfully, the early morning weather was still relatively pleasant.

As I walked toward Mina, thousands of pilgrims were moving in the same direction. There was something incredibly moving about seeing people from so many different countries and backgrounds united for the same purpose.

It was also the blessed time of Eid al-Adha, and the atmosphere felt particularly special. Pilgrims were continuing their Hajj journey, many dressed in fresh clothes after the celebrations of Eid, while the streets around Mina remained filled with movement and devotion.

A Short Rest Before Another Challenge

After finally reaching my Mina camp, I took some time to rest.

My body desperately needed it.

But the rest could only last for so long. The next part of the journey was waiting — Jamarat Day 2.

After Dhuhr Salah, at around 2 PM, I began walking toward the Jamarat complex.

This would turn out to be one of the most difficult walks of the entire journey.

Walking Through Extreme Heat

The temperature was around 120°F, and the intense heat made every step difficult.

The combination of extreme temperatures, long distances, massive crowds, and the physical exhaustion accumulated over the previous days made the walk incredibly challenging.

Yet, despite the difficulty, there was a sense of purpose in every step.

As I continued toward Jamarat, I kept myself occupied with Dhikr and remembrance of Allah. Walking alongside thousands of other pilgrims made the experience even more powerful.

Everyone was tired. Everyone was facing their own struggles. Yet everyone was continuing forward.

That is one of the things that makes Hajj so profound.

A Moment That Stopped Me

During the journey, I witnessed an elderly woman collapse in front of me.

It was a deeply emotional moment.

Seeing someone struggling physically in the middle of such an enormous pilgrimage reminded me just how demanding Hajj can be, especially for elderly pilgrims and those who are already physically exhausted.

It also reminded me that Hajj is not simply about completing rituals.

It is about patience, compassion, helping one another, and relying upon Allah during moments of difficulty.

Every pilgrim has a story. Every person walking toward the Haram and Jamarat is carrying their own hopes, prayers, struggles, and sacrifices.

Finally Reaching Jamarat

After what felt like an incredibly long and difficult journey, I finally reached the Jamarat complex.

Despite the exhaustion and extreme heat, there was a feeling of relief and gratitude.

I was there to complete the next stage of my Hajj journey — the second day of Ramy at Jamarat.

Standing among thousands of pilgrims and completing this important ritual was another unforgettable moment of Hajj.

The journey to Jamarat had been physically exhausting, but reaching the destination brought a sense of peace and accomplishment.

Alhamdulillah, Jamarat Day 2 was complete.

The Journey Back to Mina

Completing the ritual, however, did not mean the day was over.

There was still another long walk back to the Mina camp.

By this point, my body was completely exhausted. The heat, the distance, and the days of continuous Hajj activities had taken their toll.

Still, I continued walking.

Eventually, I made it back to my tent.

After such a demanding day, even a simple meal felt special. I had something to eat and then enjoyed a well-deserved ice cream — a small moment of comfort after such a difficult journey.

Soon afterward, I finally fell asleep.

The exhaustion was overwhelming, and I slept until Fajr.

Another Day of Hajj, Another Lesson in Faith

Looking back at Day 8, I realize that some of the most meaningful moments of Hajj happen outside the major rituals themselves.

They happen while walking under the scorching sun.

They happen when your body is exhausted but you keep moving.

They happen when you see another pilgrim struggling and realize that everyone around you is also making sacrifices.

And they happen when you reach your destination and simply say:

Alhamdulillah.

Hajj teaches patience in ways that cannot always be explained with words. It pushes you physically, mentally, and emotionally, while constantly reminding you to turn back to Allah.

Day 8 was another challenging chapter of my 16 Blessed Days Hajj 2026 journey — a day filled with walking, heat, exhaustion, Dhikr, perseverance, and gratitude.

And despite how difficult it was, I would not trade the experience for anything.

Alhamdulillah for every step. Alhamdulillah for every challenge. Alhamdulillah for the opportunity to be on this blessed journey.
