Two Umrahs in one night at Masjid al-Haram during Hajj 2026 – Day 14 of the 16 Blessed Days journey

As the final days in Makkah began to approach, every moment seemed to carry a deeper sense of gratitude. Day 14 of the 16 Blessed Days journey was filled with worship, family preparations, and an unforgettable night that ended with two Umrahs.

The day began quietly with breakfast at the Marriott in Jabal Omar. With only a short time left in Makkah, there was also the practical task of preparing gifts for loved ones back home. After Dhuhr prayer, a trip to a family store provided an opportunity to pick up a few final items before heading back toward Masjid al-Haram.

Precious Hours at Masjid al-Haram

Returning to the Haram brought the familiar atmosphere of worship and reflection. Asr and Maghrib were offered near the Holy Kaaba, allowing precious time to be spent in one of the most sacred places on earth.

The previous few days, however, had not been easy. A persistent cold and cough had affected the journey and made it difficult to carry out as many Umrahs as originally hoped. Physical weakness had meant slowing down and giving the body time to recover.

But that night felt different.

After dinner, there was finally enough strength and energy to attempt another Umrah.

Beginning the First Umrah

To begin the Umrah, the journey headed toward Masjid Aisha, also known as Masjid at-Tan’im, where Ihram was entered before returning to Makkah.

The journey back to Masjid al-Haram brought another long stretch of worship and walking. Despite the crowds and the exhaustion of the day, the focus remained on completing the rites.

Tawaf around the Kaaba and Sa’i between Safa and Marwah eventually brought the first Umrah to an end at around 2 a.m.

For many people, that alone would have marked the end of a very long day.

But there was still another opportunity ahead.

One More Umrah Before Dawn

Shortly after completing the first Umrah, the journey began once again toward Masjid Aisha.

The same process was repeated: entering Ihram, returning to the Haram, and beginning another Tawaf and Sa’i.

By this point, the night had turned into the early hours of the morning. Fatigue was naturally setting in, but the significance of the opportunity made every step worthwhile.

After Fajr, the second Umrah was completed with a haircut.

Two Umrahs had been performed in a single night.

After several days of illness, reaching that point brought a powerful feeling of thankfulness. The achievement was not simply about completing two Umrahs; it was about being given the health, strength, and opportunity to return to worship after struggling physically for several days.

Every Step Felt Different

Day 14 was not only about Umrah.

It included Salah at Masjid al-Haram, time near the Kaaba, shopping for family members, repeated journeys between Makkah and Masjid Aisha, and countless steps taken throughout the night.

With only two days remaining in Makkah, those ordinary moments began to feel especially meaningful.

There is something different about worship when you know that your time in a beloved place is coming to an end. The walks feel more precious. The prayers feel more precious. Even the tiredness becomes part of the memory.

The journey was gradually moving toward its conclusion, but there was still time left to make the most of the sacred days.

Looking Toward the Final Days

With Day 14 coming to an end, attention turned toward the remaining time in Makkah.

There was hope for more Umrah, more prayers at Masjid al-Haram, and time to prepare for departure. Packing would soon begin, but there was still a desire to remain focused on worship for as long as possible.

The journey of 16 Blessed Days had already created countless memories, but the final moments in Makkah promised to be just as meaningful.

For this night, the greatest takeaway was gratitude: gratitude for recovery after illness, gratitude for the ability to worship, and gratitude for being able to spend another night in the presence of the Holy Kaaba.

May Allah accept every Umrah, Salah, Tawaf, Sa’i and dua; forgive our shortcomings; bless our families; and grant us all the opportunity to return to His Sacred House again.

Alhamdulillah for every step.
