OUR FIRST DAY IN JAMAICA 🇯🇲 | Grand Palladium Paradise

There’s something special about arriving in Jamaica for the first time. After traveling from Atlanta, we finally reached the beautiful Grand Palladium Jamaica, and the resort immediately felt like the Caribbean escape we had been waiting for.

Our suite was one of the first surprises. With a private pool and a gorgeous view toward the Caribbean, it was the kind of room that made us want to slow down and enjoy every minute. But there was one problem—we were absolutely starving!

We had been up since around 5 AM and hadn’t eaten since leaving home, so food quickly became our top priority. We decided to walk across the massive resort to find the seafood restaurant. What sounded like a simple walk turned into quite an expedition. The Grand Palladium property is enormous, and after walking for more than a mile, we discovered that we had arrived too late for lunch.

With another restaurant closing soon, we picked up the pace and made our way toward the buffet. We had only about 15 minutes before it closed at 4 PM, but luckily, we made it just in time. After such a long morning of traveling and walking, that late lunch tasted even better!

Finally, Time to Enjoy Jamaica

Once we had eaten and recovered our energy, it was time to explore the resort properly.

We made our way around the enormous main swimming pool, checked out the pool bar, explored the beach, and took in the beautiful Caribbean coastline. The children’s pool was another fun part of the resort, especially for our daughter.

While my wife and daughter eventually returned to our suite to enjoy the private pool, I decided to take a peaceful walk along the beach. After the busy travel day, being beside the Caribbean water was exactly what I needed.

An Evening of Seafood and Resort Exploring

Our day wasn’t over yet.

That evening, we had a 9 PM reservation at the seafood restaurant. We finally got the chance to enjoy the seafood we had been looking for earlier in the afternoon! We relaxed with drinks, enjoyed dinner and dessert, and then headed back out to explore more of the resort after dark.

Grand Palladium seemed almost endless. Even after spending the entire day there, we were still discovering new areas. The nighttime atmosphere was completely different from what we had seen during the afternoon, making the walk feel like another little adventure.

By the time we finally returned to our suite around 11 PM, I had logged roughly 14,000 steps on our first day in Jamaica!

A Quiet End to a Busy Day

After all the traveling, walking, eating, and exploring, the perfect ending was surprisingly simple.

We sat beside our private pool in the darkness, listening to the sounds of crickets and the waves rolling along the Caribbean coast. It was one of those peaceful vacation moments that makes you stop and appreciate where you are.

But there wasn’t much time to rest.

I had another early morning ahead. At 5 AM, I would be heading out for Kingston.

Our first day at Grand Palladium Paradise had been exhausting, but it was also the perfect introduction to Jamaica—beautiful views, Caribbean beaches, plenty of exploration, great food, and a little bit of adventure right from the beginning.

And this was only day one. 🇯🇲🌴
