Introduction
After waiting nearly two years, Allah blessed me with the opportunity to perform Hajj in 2026. This journey began in Atlanta and took me through Houston, Dubai, and finally to the blessed city of Madinah. Although I have traveled to many countries, this trip was unlike any other because it was a journey of faith rather than tourism.
Leaving Atlanta
Walking into Atlanta’s airport, I felt excitement, gratitude, and humility. My bags were packed, documents checked, and my heart was focused on the incredible journey ahead. Every step toward the departure gate reminded me that I was answering Allah’s call.
Atlanta to Houston
The first flight was short but meaningful. Houston marked the beginning of the international portion of the trip. Watching fellow travelers and pilgrims made me realize how people from different backgrounds unite for one purpose during Hajj.
Emirates to Dubai
Boarding the Emirates A380 was a memorable experience. The aircraft was comfortable, the crew professional, and the long journey gave me time to reflect, read duas, rest, and prepare mentally for the pilgrimage ahead. The closer we flew to the Middle East, the more real the journey became.
Dubai Layover
Dubai International Airport is one of the busiest airports in the world and a common transit point for pilgrims. During my layover I explored the terminal, stretched my legs, located prayer facilities, and prepared for the final flight to Madinah. If you transit through Dubai, allow extra time, stay hydrated, and keep your travel documents within easy reach.
Arrival in Madinah
The final flight carried us toward one of the most beloved cities in Islam. Arriving in Madinah before Fajr filled me with emotions that are difficult to describe. Knowing I was finally in the city of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ brought a deep sense of gratitude and peace. This was the beginning of an unforgettable spiritual experience.

Final Thoughts
Looking back, my journey from Atlanta to Madinah was much more than a series of flights. It was the start of a life-changing pilgrimage that reminded me of patience, gratitude, and complete reliance on Allah. I hope my experience encourages anyone preparing for Hajj and gives future pilgrims confidence as they begin their own journey. May Allah accept the Hajj of every pilgrim and grant everyone the opportunity to visit His Sacred House and the blessed city of Madinah. Ameen.
